/ August 18, 2010The unreliability of the WEB is no reason for anybody to stay away from Cloud Computing. Cloud Computing will consist of some sort of back up system just like any other type of computing. In fact Cloud Computing in its nature is back up oriented. You are right, networks go down all the time and it is no as reliable as directing running an application on a self sustaining computer. But I recently lost 1 1/2 hours worth of work because my Imac crashed. Goes both ways.

/ August 18, 2010Cloud computing or onlive gaming service- nothing will replace our existing hardware. we might migrate slightly to those craps but still people’s primary system will be their home hardware base system. and i agree 100% with jack about this.

/ August 18, 2010What do you do if you’re somewhere without internet? I.E. On the road, uo in a cabin, etc.

/ August 18, 2010I can see what will happen. Instead of selling computers with powerful hardware, companies will sell lightweight computers but also internet subscriptions. That means, to achieve what you can do nowadays on something you just pay once for, you’ll have to pay monthly (and that slowly adds up, especially since faster internet = more processing power).
No thanks, I’d prefer the present way

/ August 18, 2010I think that regardless if we like Cloud Computing or not, it is going to be part of personal and professional computing in the future. I see it as the next evolution in internet. Skynet is here.

/ August 18, 2010Here :
Cloud computing can be storing personal files on a remote location, or cloud computing can be youtube, where you store your public videos.
You both have a point.

/ August 18, 2010Explain.
He says its always there.
I say its only there if the internet is 100% stone reliable. Its not.
He says its more secure.
I say its a bigger target.
He says they can make you jump through hoops.
I say he is right.
He says youtube is an example of cloud computing, and I disagree.
Not sure what part you mean.

/ August 18, 2010I won’t use cloud computing … but …
you took his words out of context … This was an apple vs orange response

/ August 18, 2010I may not understand the full scope of your comment against cloud computing, DRBUK. But what don’t like the most is Apple’s attempt to register you in .MAC which is now the re-named Mobile Me. I like what Google and Yahoo are doing to put where we never have to leave their services. In the end, I agree entirely with Dragonballjiujitsu here.

/ August 18, 2010Love your videos dude! You are such an inspiration to our community. Don’t ever quit. Hey, I’m going to have some basic XP questions for you when you have some time on Skype. ok?

/ August 18, 2010I agree 100%. Great video by the way.

/ August 18, 2010sorry NOT A FAN OF CLOUD COMPUTING, and yes I KNOW ALL THE BENEFITS, ive done a detailed video on cloud computing, and i still dont like it, especially as a PRIMARY COMPUTING SOURCE, as a secondary service, u know to AID ur primary source (computer not internet), then great !

/ August 18, 2010I Agree man. ‘Cloud Computing’ is giving a greater risk in your data to be accessed to unauthorised users. And best of all you can’t protect it like you can on your own personal computer (i.e a firewall)
